Scent of Summer

The art exhibition featuring works by young artistfrom the educational program of the Civic Initiative “UKRAINIAN STUDIES”(directed by Andriy Sendetskyy) serves as the grand finaleof an active and creative 2025/2026 season. The presented artworks, exploring the theme “SCENT OF SUMMER,”were created to showcase the unique assignments of the comprehensive creative and developmental program of “UKRAINIAN STUDIES.” Under the guidance of instructor Oleh Bolyuk, Doctor of Arts, this program is hosted in the welcoming home of the Colonel Yevhen Konovalets Calgary Branch of the Ukrainian Youth Association in Canada. This event serves as a continuation of the first exhibition collection, “EMERALDS OF SPRING, PEARLS OF BLOSSOM.”

Utilizing mixed media—specifically gouache and color graphics on various paper bases—the young participants of “UKRAINIAN STUDIES” explored techniques for depicting wildflowers and ornamental plants. The genres of still life and landscape remain central to capturing the unparalleled beauty of nature, which resonates most vibrantly during the summer. The exhibition will open its doors to art enthusiasts on May 31, 2026,and will run throughout the upcoming summer weeks.
